Cajun Recipes



 


Cajun Poultry Burgers

Ingredients:

1 lb (500g) ground turkey or chicken
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup (60ml) finely chopped green or red pepper
2 tsp (5ml) Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp (15ml) VE Cajun seasoning

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. Form into 5 patties.
  3. Grill or broil on each side, until cooked through.
  4. Serve on toasted buns with VE salsa and lots of lettuce.


VE Cajun mushrooms

Ingredients:

2lbs (1kg) small button mushrooms
1/2 cup (125ml) Worcestershire sauce
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tbsp (15ml) VE Cajun seasoning
VE salt and VE pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth. Trim the woody ends from stems
  2. Melt the butter in heave sauté pan, add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and VE Cajun seasoning
  3. Add mushroom, toss to coat. Cook at high heat, stirring constantly for 10 min.
